About me - my trip to kvarner

INTRODUCTION AND DIGITAL TOURISM





I am studying a Degree in Business (majoring in Accounting) at Edith Cowan University, Perth, and I am currently in my last semester of the program. Prior to this prior, I obtained Diploma in Business from the Institute of Education also in Perth. I am originally from Tanzania in Africa, and I was working in my country before I relocated to Australia in 2013 to further my education. Upon arrival, I was initially faced with various challenges due to differences in cultural and environmental backgrounds. Africa and Australia are two different countries in terms of culture. At the beginning it was a struggle to cope with lifestyle here in Perth. I however needed to cope and this made me to become brave.
Traveling is my main hobby. I visited South Africa in 2012 for Safari tour to see the beautiful nature of the country. I enjoyed seeing wild animals during the tour despite that we also have national parks in my country.  I have also been to Kenya and Italy.   

BLOG 1- EVALUATING CURRENT MARKETING IN TOURISM



Goal and strategy
According to Blog Marketing Academy (2018), to build a personal brand requires such person to have a goal and plans. These plans include strategy for the kind of business you need/want to investment. I take this opportunity to create a blog for an investment which I plan to introduce in Kvarner, Croatia because it the key to game change in my success. My aim is to setup personal brand of Boat Tour Logistic as part of financial resources in marketing. Market strategy for boat tour is measured by the number of people using the services during vacations. If, the number of international visitors is undefined, then failure is guaranteed to the business (Nuenen, 2016).
The collected data as presented by the Board of Tourism in Croatia informed that the tourism total contribution to GDP growth increased from 69.9 billion in 2012 to 94.1 billion in 2017, with a forecast estimated to be 141.1 billion in 2028.  According to the Board, the number of international visitors in 2012 was 53m, and this increased to 75.6m in 2017 with an estimated forecast of 1166.7m in the year 2028. Kvarner region is globally known as a location for vacation, I therefore intend to wisely use both business ethics and social media to accomplish my dream of bringing people from Perth to Kvarner. Although, the realistic measure of booking will be challenged due to distance between Perth and Croatia, we however have targeted 60% travellers in the first year 2018 and 70% in 2019. Since this is a new business, we shall offer promotion and discount in prices in order to attract new customer.  Also, resources shall be effectively allocated to achieve our goal and impact the team members (Brian, 2017). Below are five (5) element guide tourism marketing that shall be applied:
1.               Website blog - enable international tourists to make advance booking for the boat tour in
             Kvarner region. The aim is to reach a huge number of tourists who want to visit Croatia.
2.             Target to sell minimum of 1,000,000 tickets for the boat tour per year
3.             Advisement and promotion will be translated in English and Croatian. This include
            banners, tickets and tour services.
4.            Effective use of social media platform to promote and offer special packages for boat tour.
5.            Cooperate with Croatian Government on policy and procedure, rule and regulation as well as to obtain appropriate documentations such as licence.

Online Personal Branding
Since we are living in the world of highly competitive market, Online Personal Branding requires selling oneself to people or customers that will keep remembering you for your products/services. To impress people as individual, you must therefore have specific brand that will stand out your business.
Good personal skills are needed to impress customer and build brand reputation (Nguyen et al, 2018). Thus, the Tour Boat Logistics need to function well by providing good services and networking for the visitors during their holiday. This will be of benefit for the company to increase brand and revenue.
Perfection is the key to holding customers, thus, an online personal branding needs creativity day by day to influence customer to buy your product. As a brand you need to do it perfectly by considering the product value. On other hand, Unhelkar and Murugesan (2010) said there is “Revolution on the move” and that people buy what they see. So, our brand will change with social networking revolution. These include identity of the brand Logo, Tagline, Brand promise, Image and colour, and name.
Networking Platform to provide necessary needs shall be available for customers. This platform is available for any user’s on social media to post a good quality pictures through Facebook, Instagram, snap chat and twitter. Online tools such as TripAdvisor.com will be added for analytical data track down data for market evaluation.

BLOG 2- TOUR GUIDE - 7 7DAYS



Kvarner Region- Croatia
Kvarner Gulf/Bay is naturally beautiful. It is about 3600 km2 and surrounded by waters and sand beaches. The residents live happily on organic foods while they still maintain their culture and heritage. The community at the same time shares the life value and respect culture and hospitality. Tourism market promote new life of living to people but the residents still enjoy their fresh air, freedom and enviable foods. What a life?

TOUR GUIDE
Tour to Kvarner Region is around the corner. I will pay a 9-day visit to Kvarner Region during my on-coming holiday. I will depart from Perth international Airport on 29th September, 2018 and arrive Omisaji Airport, Krk on 30th September 2018. This is about 30 km from Rijeka and 9km from Hilton Garden Inn.  I plan to take road trip from Airport Krk to the hotel Hilton Garden inn. I will return to Perth on 7th October 2018. I have provided my schedule and places to visit in Kvarner Region.

Tourism is a service driven by companies. Many tourism firm tend to operate and manage day to day’s activities by managing cash money. Moreover, new operation management procedure helps an existing company that struggle to focus on the running business.
Current tourism operation uses online Webinars (Ghosh, 2018). YouTube, Facebook, Instagram introduce streaming   core operations. These tools help to build friendship and coordinate all activities such as reservation, payment and tour logistic for visitor.
Recently, Social Media help business and personal life to engage straight to the community (CRM) through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Snapchat (Ghosh, 2018). These tools impact public communication in the society and change business and lifestyle even for Politician.  Politician use network to advertise day to day activities through their social network especially YouTube, Twitter and Facebook streaming. We are living in the world of social media and networking to monitor customer analytical and improve their services. If you avoid personal brand through social media, then business will suffer setback (He, 2016). It will affect your brand and business so greatly. These activities are the centre of brand change to success or downfall.  Social medial analytics platforms are somehow difficult due to number of social media around the world. But, majority use marketing analytics to take information and data tracking.
The enhance and embedder power of analytics, the networking has provide  multi facet picture of YouTube 1900,000, Facebook 2,190,000 , Instagram  1000,000, WhatsApp ,1500,000and twitter usage statistic platforms.

FACEBOOK
Facebook is the most usable social media platform.  It is designed to connect community include me. However, it is bring and simplify life in general. But also, majority user are for business purpose. Facebook profile and image cover a picture of 180 x 80 pixel and image 820 x 312 pixel.

The look of Instagram start with profile size 110 x 110pixel.. Instagram business analytic range  different areas especially in personal life and business in general. 
Instagram has  different outlook compare to Facebook, Snapchat and  YouTube. The main outlook are post, activities, foods, tourism, art ,comic.

2.                   Activity and food -mainly use for business firm or individual who need the promote their brand or  bushiness. They use this network media to get trafic customer, comment and likes
Mission/vision
This information allow business on Instagram to grow because the number of people who view the post. Majority likes the post or services or items.
The target of any business is audience satisfaction, once the post is carrying the full package of business. It will easy for customer or people to take time for window-shopping, which end up to purchasing of the product.
YouTube

YouTube is another platform used by user to upload, view, rate, share, ad, report and comment on videos.  This platform generates variety of corporate media video such as video clips, TV shows, Music and short and long documentary.
Mission /vision
It is targeting audience as well.  It is free access but few benefits from YouTube by making money through number of subscribe and add promotion. It is only 3% of video creator
